Behavioral Health

EngageWell can provide the full-range of behavioral care services through our five-borough network:

  • 15 OASAS-licensed substance use treatment programs
  • 11 OMH-licensed mental health clinics
  • 14 Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) provider agencies
  • 15 locations to receive Buprenorphine treatment for Opioid addiction

Health Care

Three federally qualified health centers offer primary and specialty care services with 10 locations in four boroughs.

Care Coordination

With over 15,000 individuals receiving Health Home Care Management from 14 Care Management Agencies (CMAs), the IPA’s provider network has had great success finding individuals lost to care, and supporting their engagement and retention in services.

HIV/AIDS Services

Our provider network has developed a number of innovative approaches to support HIV viral load suppression that are critical to our state’s efforts to End the Epidemic.

Harm Reduction Services

Harm reduction services are a proven strategy to engage and retain active substance users in ambulatory treatment services by providing supportive counseling, psychoeducation, infectious disease screenings and assistance with treatment adherence in low-threshold, easily accessible settings. These providers have a track record of helping high need individuals create trusted relationships with medical and behavioral health providers. The EngageWell network includes 12 of NYC’s 13 waivered harm reduction providers.

Social Determinants
of Health

The EngageWell network includes a wide range of services that address the drivers of health disparities—hunger, homelessness, housing instability, economic insecurity and unemployment.

Integrated Care for People with HIV/AIDS

EngageWell is partnering with Amida Care (an HIV Special Needs Plan), Mt. Sinai Designated AIDS Center, and seven community health centers to launch an Innovator Accountable Care Organization (IACO) for people living with or at-high risk for HIV/AIDS. With plans to launch in 2019, the IACO will coordinate care under a single model for Medicaid beneficiaries living with HIV/AIDS. Through this innovative model, potential cost savings may be reinvested to address social determinants of health, advance a quarterly viral load suppression consumer incentive, stabilize the HIV continuum of care, and fund other priorities and innovations.

"Care Your Way"

In June 2021, EngageWell IPA was selected to participate in the Connected Care Pilot Program, a multi-year project funded by the Federal Communications Commission, to bring ‘connected care services’ – like telehealth and remote patient monitoring – to low-income and veteran populations.

EngageWell is facilitating transformative public/private partnerships between its non-profit health and human service organizations and the trusted vendors below to bring innovative health technology to our clients, improving quality of care, increasing care engagement, and reducing avoidable health care spending.
